Two decades of trusted business finance
Founded by Chris and Maria, NGI Finance was established to better meet the needs of business customers through a more personal approach and greater flexibility. By working with a wide range of lenders rather than being tied to a single high street bank or supplier, NGI Finance has spent the past 20 years delivering tailored funding solutions that truly support businesses.
Today, NGI Finance works with companies of all sizes across the UK and has helped secure over £100 million in funding since inception. With the majority of new business generated through referrals, this milestone reflects two decades of competitive products, trusted relationships, and consistently high levels of service.
Chris Morris
Chris is the co-founder of NGI Finance and runs the business day to day. Having previously worked for Lloyds bank for 20 years where he ran a £200m Asset Finance business in the South East.
Outside of work Chris is a keen road cyclist and a lifelong fan of Newcastle United Football Club.
Maria Morris
Maria is the co-founder of NGI Finance. She previously worked as an Area Manager at Lloyds Bank for 16 years, relocating twice and settling in Oxfordshire in 2003.
Outside work Maria keeps busy at home with her 3 daughters, enjoying fitness and dog walks.
Ian Nash
Ian runs the NGI Finance Franchise in Berkshire. He has 30 years of funding experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking and until recently was the Head of Business Banking for HSBC in the Thames Valley area.
Outside of work Ian is married with two daughters, he is a sports enthusiast and a keen golfer.
Lorna Slee
Lorna joined Chris and Maria at NGI Finance in March 2012 as Operations Manager. She manages the day to day running of the office along with assisting Chris with case files.
Lorna previously worked for NatWest Bank and went onto manage offices in the construction and software industries.
When not at work, Lorna enjoys dog walking.
Sarah May
Sarah joined NGI Finance in 2015 after nearly 30 years with NatWest. She assists the commercial finance team and keeps in regular contact with clients.
At weekends, she enjoys Ballroom and Latin American dance lessons with her husband and has two sons and two tortoises.
Alex Innocenti
Alex has been with NGI Finance as an Account Manager since May 2023. He manages and maintains day-to-day contact with clients, assisting them to secure the right finance solution for their individual business.
Outside of work Alex enjoys spending time in the gym and going on long dog walks.
Marion Soffe
Marion joined NGI in 2021 and works as an Account Manager securing finance for clients and overseeing our franchise section.
Marion worked for Natwest in branch banking for 35 years and has also been the Administrator for Cogges Pre-school for 13 years.
Outside of work Marion enjoys skiing and is taking up golf.
Antony Johnson
Antony oversees the operation of the NGI Franchise in Basingstoke, serving the North Hampshire and Blackwater Valley regions.
With more than 30 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Antony has built an extensive career, primarily with HSBC.
Daniella Jenkins
Dani joined NGI Finance as an Account Manager in November 2024 and has since been dedicated to building strong client relationships through daily interactions. She specialises in helping clients secure customised financial solutions that align with their unique business goals.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys cooking, baking, and exploring a variety of delicious cuisines.

Our company first heard about Maria at NGI Finance through a business consultant and then our accountant passed us Maria’s details when the bank was taking their time issuing a commercial mortgage offer. We had been negotiating with the vendor for a few years so when they accepted the offer we were under pressure to move fast. Maria had an offer within a few days which she sent to the vendor’s legal team. The meeting with the lender was then arranged the following week. The bank eventually came back with a formal however Maria had already arranged a better rate. We found the whole legal process very stressful however Maria was always around to help, guide and answer any questions. We felt as though she held our hand all the way to completion and we are very grateful. We have already passed her details to 2 people and without fail would recommend her services.

The name NGI Finance also reflects the personal values at the heart of the company. NGI is named after Chris and Maria’s three daughters Nell, Grace and Isobel.
