Did you know that the Government is offering a grant to help with the uptake of electric vehicles?
For vehicles that meet the qualifying criteria, the Government are offering up to 35% off the purchase price, meaning you could get up to £3,500 off your next commercial vehicle purchase. The “plug-in car grant” is currently given as a discount off the purchase price at the time of buying and applies to specifically named cars, motorcycles, mopeds, vans, taxis, large vans and trucks that are listed on the Gov.uk website.
For businesses looking to go green with their company vehicle fleet there are tax savings to be made and for an individual who is driving an electric company vehicle then the benefit in kind for tax is 0%. In essence it is a win-win for everybody.
